Attorney Bio
Stephen M. Lukacs is the Managing Attorney of Melone Hatley’s Richmond office. With a strong background in investigations and compliance, Stephen brings a strategic, evidence-driven approach to his practice. His investigative experience provides a critical advantage in building well-supported cases that reflect the firm’s client-focused philosophy. He is dedicated to helping his clients lay the groundwork for success—long before litigation begins.
A native of Stafford, Virginia, Stephen has lived throughout the Commonwealth—from the mountains of Appalachia to Virginia Beach and now the heart of Richmond. His broad life experience allows him to relate to clients from all walks of life, often having faced or shared in the challenges they bring to the firm.
Stephen earned his Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law and holds dual degrees in political science and philosophy from Virginia Tech.
Outside the office, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also volunteers with video game developers as a play tester and community moderator, combining his passion for competition with a spirit of collaboration and service.
