Attorney Bio
Louisa Rich joined the firm in 2023 and brings with her a wealth of legal expertise, firmly committed to guiding individuals through the challenges of family law, with a focus on divorce litigation.
She earned her law degree from the prestigious University of Virginia School of Law, consistently ranked among the top 10 law schools in the nation. Her legal education provided her with a strong foundation in the field of law, but it was her passion for helping people through difficult situations that led her to embark on a career dedicated to family law.
Before joining Melone Hatley, Louisa served as a Senior Attorney and Director of Pro Bono Housing Law in Richmond, defending and advising over 1000 families facing eviction in court. She also has extensive experience representing children with special needs, ensuring they receive the educational support they deserve in the face of school-related challenges.
Louisa is now committed to guiding individuals through the legal complexities of divorce, offering assistance in areas such as equitable distribution, child custody and visitation, and child and spousal support.
Outside of her legal practice, Louisa finds joy in spending time with her family. When she’s not in the office, you can often find her exploring the state and national parks in the area.
